My business: Bradley Savoldelli, Global Sampling Engineering and Product Line Manager, Proserv

Bradley Savoldelli

Can you tell us a little about Proserv?

Proserv is a global controls technology company with a long heritage in the energy industry. We deliver solutions that optimise the reliability and efficiency of critical infrastructure across subsea, topside and renewable energy applications.

What does Proserv do?

Proserv designs, manufactures and supports cutting-edge control and monitoring technologies that help energy companies to operate safely, efficiently and sustainably. Our expertise spans subsea sampling, wellhead control, renewable energy controls and bespoke engineering solutions. Combining innovation with decades of knowledge, we deliver equipment and services that enhance performance, extend asset life, and provide critical data and insights globally.

What is a typical day like?

No two days are the same, which is one reason I enjoy my career so much. I’m responsible for our global sampling engineering and product line, balancing technical oversight, product development and project delivery with customer engagement. Some days I support engineering teams on specialised projects; others I focus on long-term product strategy or meet operators to understand their challenges. Mentorship is also important – I started here as an apprentice, so I know the value of developing the next generation.

What are your daily challenges?

Our work often involves technical, bespoke projects that don’t have standard solutions. This requires cross-disciplinary collaboration and working under tight deadlines to deliver solutions that meet safety, quality and performance standards. The global scope – navigating time zones, regulations and client expectations – demands strong organisation and communication.

What’s your favourite part of working at Proserv?

The variety and teamwork. Over the past 14 years I’ve worked on a wide range of projects, from topside sampling systems to complex subsea applications and specialised solutions. Each brings technical hurdles, but also opportunities to innovate and learn. Proserv has always encouraged me to take on new challenges, and that culture of trust and collaboration is what makes the company stand out.

What has been your greatest achievement?

One highlight was leading development of the underslung remotely operated vehicle subsea sampling skid deployed in Norway. Subsea sampling is technically demanding, given the pressures and environments, but provide critical client data. Seeing something you’ve helped design become an industry benchmark is incredibly rewarding.

Personally, my journey from apprentice to Global Engineering and Product Line Manager is an achievement – it shows the opportunities at Proserv if you’re willing to learn and push yourself.

What has changed since your first day at Proserv?

When I started, sampling was a smaller, more niche part of our offering. Today, it’s a fully integrated global business line. We’ve also seen technology shifts, particularly digitalisation and data-driven decision making. Clients want insights as well as equipment, driving innovation in the way we design systems.

What hasn’t changed is our ethos – valuing people, investing in their growth and encouraging a hands-on, problem-solving culture.
